Happy Birthday, Katie!

Katie turned 11 today!  She's our miracle heart girl and not a day goes by when we don't remember how blessed we are to have her here with us.  We call her "Lady Katherine" and she lives up to the name in her beautiful handwriting, quiet graces, and model manners. :)

She had so many lovely home made gifts from her sisters:  a beautiful bracelet and origami heart dollar bill from Jenny, a monogrammed pen from Rachel, and Sarah designed and sewed her this beautiful dress from Grandma's material closet.

Nana made her special cake and Perry lit the candles

Not everyone was as excited about the cake as Pop Pop and the dog can be seen sleeping in the background after a big healthy dinner!

The girls played with Katie's new Lego Friends Jungle Rescue Base for the rest of the night .

Sarah curled up with a blanket and a book for the rest of the cold Maine night.

Enjoying our last week of the slow pace here and getting rested and ready to hit the ground running at  home.  Looking forward to seeing all of our friends and getting back to our home Church, but will be sad to say goodbye to our many loved ones here.  It's hard to have your heart in two places.

Blessings,

Kim
